“Baafira” is a Hausa language word which means “no noise or don’t talk” – produced by BeatzDakay and sung by Stonebwoy in cooperation with Sarkodie, Ghana’s fastest rapper will be releasing a song to the term in 8 days’ time.
In “Adonai” Sarkodie featuring Castro, as in this song Sarkodie will be featured alongside Stonebwoy.
The song “Baafira” is basically an inspirational song, yet can be played in a club or party recorded on a 105 beat per minute (bpm) will be released on Friday, 17 October.
But, as some experts believe, the song is a message conveying to the music lovers to speak less and more concentration on listening, and concentrate on what they have set in their minds.
Stonebwoy has already made it to the nominated list in the Bass Awards 2014 in categories including Dancehall Artiste(S) of the year and Dancehall Song of the year with “Give it to them”; Artiste of the year (Kwame Nkrumah Award); Best Collaboration of the year (Dancehall) with “Go harder” (Edem featuring Stonebwoy) and “Wind Up” (Method Ranking featuring); Best Performer Of The Year.
The music lovers have a chance to vote for their best artists via http://bassawards.bassafrica.com in the “Dancehall song of the year” and “Best Collaboration of the year” (Edem/ Stonebwoy with “Go harder”) and (Method Ranking/ Stonebwoy with “Wind Up”) and others.
Meanwhile, Sarkodie is nominated in the Best Male Artist in West Africa with “Adonai” for 2014 AFRIMA and “Best African Artiste” for 2014 Headies Awards.
