Apple has officially announced to cross 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units sales in its first weekend, proving a blockbuster weekend for any iPhone launch.

Last year, in the opening weekend iPhone 5 and 5s marked at 9 million and this time iPhone came with bang, forced people to wait in long lines, even at some store fans waited two days prior of its release.
“Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn’t be happier,” said Tim Cook.

“We would like to thank all of our customers for making this our best launch ever, shattering all previous sell-through records by a large margin,” he added.
The latest smartphone of Cupertino giant went on in limited countries including, USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, surprisingly excluding giant markets such as China, Russia and India.
Although Apple announced to ship iPhone 6 in 115 countries by the end of this year.
The biggest ever screen iPhone, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, unveiled on 9 September with the preorders begun at 12 Sept. and finally the shipment started a week later.
