Originally known as Evans Owusu, the upcoming Afro-pop artist Sorgor said, I would like to perform with Angelique Kodjo and Nsundu Ndore on an international concert as his love for African music keeps growing.
Sorgor is inspired from Nsundu Ndore, Salif Keita and Baba Malle, added, my mother always encourages me when I decided to follow the steps of my late father.
The upcoming Afro-pop artiste said, “My mother has always supported me when I took a decision to follow the steps of the late father to join the music world because my father was a guitarist and a member of the African Brothers International Band, he died when I was 15 years old.”
He started his singing career at the age of 10, and can also play the Jambe and Shaka instruments.
Sorgor has already performed with some of the top Ghanaian musicians like Pat Thomas, Darko and Kwabena Kwabena during the AU Day and Femi Kuti at The Banquette Hall in 2013 respectively.
His other performances include with Castro and Pope Skinny at the National Theater and on TV3’s Music Music this year; Ghana Music week with Afro Moses at Obra Spot and Kesskesse Band at the Eden Tree at Spintex.
He added, if someday I got an opportunity I will like to do jazz and rock besides music, he is already doing modeling and fashion designing a well.
