The former head of the Human Security Dept of the National Security Council Secretariat Joseph Nunoo-Mensah asserted that the current challenging situation of Ghana is due to laziness and sluggish behaviour of people.
He blamed Ghanaians for indiscipline which created the ongoing hurdles in the way of development. Mensah expressed frustrations on youth for irresponsive behaviour, they are doing nothing but enjoying and pleasuring.
“Ghanaians are not disciplined at all; they are a bunch of indiscipline people. To some, all they know is to get drunk. Punctuality to work and other government functions has been a major issue. And with this attitude it’s hard to build the nation,”
Retired Brigadier General noted leadership is also suffering with indiscipline beside lazy people. He said it is very shameful when someone says there is no food or we are hungry as there is enormous fertile land to feed millions but we are wasting it.
“This indiscipline cannot happen under my watch. We have to wake up and change our attitude as a nation and Ghana will resurrect again,” Mensah said.
According Mensah watch previous and current government both contributed to collapse the economy, the infrastructure developed by President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah ruined when it could give traction to economy.
He also reacted negatively over the decision of government to head IMF for loan, it won’t solve our problems. He criticized the strike of Polytechnic Teacher Association Ghana and questioned why they should be paid when they are not working?
“Government must introduce a clause in the Labour Laws that will ensure non-payment of salary to striking workers,” adding that “they are a bunch of lazy people.”
