President John Mahama
President John Mahama has acknowledged before congregants of an Assemblies of God church in Springfield, USA that his job is stressful and burden on his head.
But President Mahama was very hopeful that worst time would over soon, “It’s a very stressful job, but knowing that God guides your steps and you have a family like the Assemblies of God behind you really is a comfort,” he told the congregation. President Mahama attended the Assemblies of God Centennial celebration which coincided with three days US-African leaders summit that Ghanaian president had participated earlier.
Mahama, who is a member of the Assemblies of God church, said he is confident despite there are bad days on Ghanaian economy but things would turn in due course. He added his faith gave him “the confident to goo forwards”.
He expressed gratitude to the Assemblies of God for sending missionaries and building churches in the West African nation. The Assemblies of God has about 67 million followers and over 17 million are from Africa.
President Mahama also talked about first US-African Leaders summit, he said these three days gave opportunity to American and Africans to understand each other more in-depth and he believes it would result in very positive outcomes.
