On Friday, the Embassy of the United States of America sent their apologies to the President of Ghana, after their response to the tweet earlier posted by Ghanaian President John Mahama.
The tweet of the president is about the current economic challenges that the country is going through.
The President tweeted, “As a people, we have had to make sacrifices. I wish to assure you that the results of these sacrifices would begin to show very soon.”
In reply to that, the Embassy of USA tweeted, “And what sacrifices are you making? Don’t tell me that pay cut”.
The matter is seriously taken by the government officials in their notice and in response to that, the Chief Executive of the National Youth Authority Ras Mubarak demanded the Foreign Affairs Ministry to take this matter to the highest level.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs should call the American Ambassador in Accra for explanation as this can cause some bad relationship between the two nations.
Mubarak posted on Facebook, “The response by the US embassy on President Mahama tweet is unforgivable.”
