
The transport operators have announced an increase in 15% increment in fares which will be affected by Monday on July 14.
The new fare has been announced since Saturday, after the discussions between the transport operators represented by the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) and Transport Ministry.
Stephen K. Okudzeto and Alhaji Aliu Baba, the General Secretaries of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) respectively have issued a joint statement regarding increment in Transport fares.
The new transport fares will cover the following regions cover intra-city (Trotro), inter-city (Long Distance) as well as Taxi Cabs.
