Brazil will take on arch rivals Argentina to hold a South American Superclassico match on October 11 at the Beijing’s Bird’s Nest stadium as it is confirmed by both the federations and also South American confederation CONMEBOL on Thursday.
Both teams have played 95 matches in total, of which Argentina won 36, Brazil with 35 and 24 matches ends in a draw.
The last meeting between the two rivals at the continent level took place on 15 July, 2007 at the Estadio José Pachencho Romero in Maracaibo, Venezuela, which is the final match of Copa América 2007 and was won by Brazil with an impressive score line of 3-0.
The last meeting between the both sides was in the Superclásico de las Américas held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in November 2012.
Brazil and Argentina did not meet even once last year, but hopefully they have a chance to meet twice in this year, possibly in the FIFA World Cup 2014 and a friendly game in China.
