Sonni Balli, Ghanaian born UK based applauded reggae and dancehall artist by adding that he is very much excited at the rise of music in Ghana and especially the popularity of reggae and dancehall music in Ghana after years of dedication and hard work.
He mentioned Samini and Shatta Wale as a godfather, as the two most inspiring dancehall artists in Ghana.
In an interview with NY DJ on the Kapital Entertainment Unplugged Show over the weekend, Sonni Balli said, after seeing music industry growing in Ghana, I feel satisfied and finally the dream is coming true after years of hard work by the Ghanaian musicians.
It is very good for the Ghanaian music industry to see reggae and dancehall music fly so high in Ghana now. Right now I am not in Ghana but love to hear and follow everything that is going in the Ghanaian music industry.
Sonni Balli just released his single on Valentine’s Day named Afrakomma which is getting him a very good response from all types of people.
He added, I was very happy when I worked with both Samini and Shatta Wale who seem not to be on good terms.
I was really happy when I joined them during my work with both upcoming Ghanaian artists, but the thing didn’t move forward due to the fact that both artists are used to be part of dancehall music and Dancehall music is battle music.
He added more light on his latest single, Afrakomma, that soon the video will also be released soon.
He further stated, I am planning to release an album, but the idea is being dropped due to this single track.
