There is news circulating in the media that Joey B’s popular song, ‘Tonga’ has been banned by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
Nana Kwame, the host of OC Showbiz Review on Skyy Power FM, Takoradi also confirmed to the reporter that Joey B’s top song “Tonga” has been banned recently by the Music Organisation MUSIGA and later also confirmed by the composer himself Joey B.
But later on Monday, Gee, the Manager of Joey B, reacts to the story in a morning show, “Brunch2Lunch” on Radio Univers, by adding that MUSIGA has not banned the song.
He also added that this kind of false statement circulating in the media is a game plan by some people who don’t want this song to nominate for the Ghana Music Awards this year’s awards ceremony.
He continued by adding that the Joey B famous song “Tonga” is not a religious song and it is already being submitted to Ghana Music Awards organisers for this year’s edition.
