John Boye said, I am very much excited when Ghana Black Stars take on Portugal in a crucial World Cup match in 2014.
I am ready to stop Cristiano Ronaldo with all my talent and practice I am doing over the years. He is the best but that doesn’t mean he is unstoppable.
My target is to stop him, no matter how? Because he is the key player in the Portuguese side, if we can stop him we can beat them easily.
The Ghana Black Stars will face Portugal in a group game in the next year World Cup in Brazil 2014.
Ghana Black Stars are in Group G which most experts believe that is the Group of Death.
Ghana Black Stars will have to beat at least two teams to proceed to the next round. Other than Portugal, they are grouped with 3 times World Champions Germany and USA.
John Boye added, if we compare the teams in our groups, Germany as usual is favourites to move to the next round. The second slot is not confirmed yet but the way we have played our qualifying match against Egypt, I am sure we will make through to the next round.
John Boye, who is facing injuries on a regular basis, believes to be 100% fit before the World Cup next summer in Brazil 2014.
Talking to the Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, John Boye said, “We are well prepared and as defenders I am sure we will handle him well.”
He is a big player, but people will know the way I am prepared that I am also a good defender.
John Boye is the consistent performer for Ghana Black Stars defence until he move out of the team due to injuries.
He also missed the playoff qualifier against Egypt due to the same injury issue.
