Nana Akufo Addo, the New Patriotic Party presidential candidate in 2012 described his views about Nelson Mandela, “He is the greatest African.”
Talking about the former South African leader Nana Akufo-Addo added, Without him the history of Africa is incomplete, a person that laid the foundation of respect for human rights and individual liberties, a person who teach how to love within people of different colour.
“I join the rest of humanity in commemorating the life of the greatest African that the world has ever known, a man who managed the unique global feat of being loved, admired, respected and idolised by the greatest number of the world’s population in the course of his lifetime” – Nelson Mandela.
A man whose life has passed in struggling for equality, liberty, integrity and development. The greatest hero of the African liberation movement, a man who is known as an example to others to follow.
He became the first black leader of democratic South Africa at the age of 76, a moment that requires his experience. A moment that requires all from him, his maturity, his wisdom, his experience, his passion, his popularity and his vision.
He set an example for other leaders what a person can achieve in one term in the office of President.
He was part of politics even after out of the office, to support South Africa at every level until retiring from politics at the age of 85.
He is a great leader, a person that has been a great inspiration to young generation. He causes trouble to those who cause trouble to humanity.
He is a fighter and remains till his death. A man who sacrifices for his country South Africa. We have to pay tribute him to not only uniting South Africa but the whole Africa.
My sympathies are with his family especially his widow, Madam Graça Machel. Truly, the world has lost a great leader.
