The Ghanaians are ecstatic and rejoice when Ghana Black Stars qualify for the World Cup in Brazil after defeating Egypt on aggregate 7-3.
Most of the Ghana Black Stars football fans are dreaming to watch their National squad in the world cup games.
But, their dream shattered when they heard about the total cost of expenses which include, return ticket, accommodation expenses, feeding and tickets of the games.
The minimum cost of a single fan is GH¢27,000 or $12,000. This money does not include the internal transportation and some other various expenses.
This dream can only be accomplished if a person has already saved something because this amount cannot be afforded by average Ghanaian football fans.
According to the sources the average economy class ticket from Ghana to Brazil currently ranges between $2,529 and $3,009, with the cedi equivalent being GH¢6,770.25 (at the exchange rate of $1 to GH¢2.25).
Now if we talk about accommodation in Brazil, a cheap hotel rate is between £41.14 and £62.03, and also FIFA has released the tickets in advance which ranges from $470 to $1,250 for some number of matches.
The first class ticket ranges from $700 (for four- match tickets) to $1,250 (for six-match tickets), then comes the middle class tickets which range from ($540 to $705 for four- match tickets) while the last category is between $380 and $635 for four-match tickets.
On December 06, 2013 the group stage draw will take place in Brazil, to know when Ghana Black Stars will play against which team and in which city.
Fans that are planning to travel to Brazil have to overlook their decision because last time when the World Cup was held in Germany the transport is free.
So, after keeping all this in mind a fan has no other choice then to watch on television.
