Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Deputy Information Minister, designated “opportunistic intervention” of the call of the opposition party NPP to the Chief justice to inspect the claims by discharged deputy Communications Minister that government effected the 2012 presidential elections.
The former minister, in a secret sound recording, allegedly listened saying a minister in the Mahama led government acted a basic role in the Supreme Court verdict that supported the position of Mahama.
The NPP was assured of winning the court case, asserted that the latest exposure of Victoria Hammah provides more acceptance to its doubt.
The report issued by the opposition party and signed by its General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie is demanding the Chief justice, Georgina Wood to as a problem of urgency; examine the allegation to ignoring the judges from the problem.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, however, on Asempa FM ON Friday said the NPP was just obeying the old style politics.
He further said in its attempt to fulfil their insatiable desire for power the opposition party is trying everything that can make them favourite for Ghanaian citizens.
Ofosu pointed that in all the process of court trial it was obvious that the opposition did not have any significant proof to support its claim.
He said, “The case they took to the Supreme Court was dead on arrival because it lacks evidence that is why it rejected.”
The deputy Information Minister could not understand why members of their party are making a lot of noise about the matter, when in fact; they cowardly could not back up by their own leaked recordings.
He gave reference of an identical recording of Anthony Karbo of NPP’s former National Youth Organizer, to support his opinion.
Kwakye Ofosu advised Ghanaians to do not let the NPP’s dissonance of noises to rule them.
