Ghanaians who anticipate to travel to the UK have to pay a sum of £3,000 for security fees, as planned by the UK Government a few months back.
That security fee is for Ghana and five other countries that were regarded as high risk nations by the UK Government.
But, latest news from the UK’s Home Office is that, the policy will not be in use due to some reasons.
Theresa May, the UK Home Secretary announced this scheme in June, and making arrangement to introduce in November.
But, the Home Office spokesman confirmed yesterday to the Sunday Times that the policy has been postponed due to some reasons.
The main aim of introducing this scheme is to reduce the numbers of people from the high risk countries which include, Ghana, India, Pakistan and Nigeria. So that they will return back to their respective countries once their visa expired.
The visitors from the following countries has to deposit a sum of £3,000 before arrival in the UK, in case they fail to return.
