Kwesi Appiah, the coach of the Black Stars says, we are ready to play in Cairo, for the return leg of our last match in the World Cup playoff, despite having fears in mind playing in Cairo.
Some of the Black Stars players still hope that FIFA will change the venue other than the current one which is Cairo, Egypt. Egypt Federation has insisted that they have to play here due to their crowd support.
Kwesi Appiah in an interview says, just 18 days away to decide who will play in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. And he added, about confirmation of the venue by the FIFA will not affect us about our strategy.
He said, “We have already worked on our strategy even before the venue been confirmed. But as we all know we are expecting that, there are not many chances that the venue will be changed.”
As for me I don’t think it will affect us, because our team is based on professional players, we just want to know where we are playing so that we will be mentally prepared for the match.
Finally when I heard about the venue, I called all the players and I am happy to say that they are all well prepared for the game.
The Black Stars already thrashed the Egyptians 6-1 in the first leg last October of 15 in Kumasi. The winner of the two matches legged will play in the World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
