The officials of the Northern Regional by National Democratic Congress (NDC) have assured to address the issues of more than 200 members of its Tamale Central Constituency branch as on Sunday branch and ward warned to boycott all party roles in the constituency.
They raised the point that local and constituency officials of the party are busy in making properties and purchasing vehicles for their personal life in the same time majority of constituencies have nothing to eat .There is no value of their sacrifices to the party.
Mr Issah Daballi, spokesperson of the constituency branch officials, said that the deeds of both local and national officials, if would not stop could send the party into opposition in 2016.
He demanded to the Presidency to force the officials to order before matters go out of order. He said, “If the officials do not find a better way of relating to the party faithful at the grassroots who are always at the forefront fighting for the party through campaigning time it may risk NDC going back to the opposition.”
Alhaji Ibrahim Yussif Andani, Tamale Central Constituency Chairman of the NDC, discharged the blames in a conference.
Along with some other party members he suggested the accusation as wrong and without any merit. President John Mahama met with NDC representatives and officials in Tamale, Alhaji Ibrahim described, after attending the special audience held by University for Development Studies to honour the ex-president Rawlings and assigned them to elaborate the problems and progresses in the party to basic supporters.
Tamale Central Constituency was in a region which had party well-known leaders like Iddrisu Haruna, Ibrahim Adams, Deputy National Women Organiser, Hajia Zenabu, and the Northern Regional Minister, Mr Bede Ziedeng, as members of the team, he specified.
Last Friday was programmed to meet officials of the Temale Central Constituency at the Centre for National Culture “and just as the public had gathered waiting for them, we had evidence that previous First Lady Naadu Mills was in town to distribute Bibles to some famous institutes.” Alhaji Ibrahim said.
Some of members of the team decided to go and back her in distribution on, he further said, and he was ordered to go and say sorry to the party officials who had gathered at the site to notify them of abandon meeting.
He further illustrated, “majority of them realized, when I went there and clarified the situation, and even clapped confession I rendered and it is consequently, amazing that some of them could come out later to smooth all types of unsubstantiated accusations against constituency and local officials of the party.”
He said some of the branch officials were in progress to split them from the blame against them by some of those disgruntled members.
