A challenging statement by the communications crew member Fred Agbenyo to government to tell the truth to the Ghanaians about the current situation of the economy.
He warned that this disguise to the truth would make the Mahama government disliked among Ghanaians.
He said, “I will continue to insist the government to appear and speak the truth no matter how harsh it will be so that Ghanaians can make themselves prepared for future situations.”
Fred Agbenyo were talking about on the current risings in utility prices on FM’s Ekosii Sen program Tuesday, Oct 22.The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) bring about public chaos in the state.
The Trades Union Congress (TUC) claimed to government and PURC to minimize the tariffs else it would result in strike across the country.
TUC also pointed that if these increasing’s come into action it will degrade the daily life of workers.
But Fred Agbenyo on Ekosii Sen explained that the confusions about prices risings could have been removed if the government and the PURC were speaking the truth. Ghanaians are peaceful by virtue and wise telling them the truth about the economy will prepare them for difficulties ahead.
A government person observed that Ghana should not proceed through this formal of ceaseless power outages and water rationing every time without the people will tell the truth.
Fred Agbenyo suggested that if the present standing would not change, it will lead opposition parties to have an agenda against government.
