Playing as a defender for the Evian Thonon Gaillard F.C. in France, Jonathan Mensah will not be in action for Ghana against the Egypt for the 2014 World Cup qualifying play-off due to injury.
The defender got an injury, and left the field in the 46 minute against Bordeaux last weekend, the game ended 1-1.
It has been confirmed by the doctor that the 23 years old Jonathan Mensah will be out of action for next six weeks.
Jonathan Mensah tweeted, “Results from tests on my injury reveals I will be out for 6 weeks. Bad timing but staying strong. Off for treatment!”
Ghana Black Stars are in huge trouble after Jonathan Mensah injury because Isaac Vorsah and John Boye has also been ruled out due to injuries making more trouble for the team defence.
The Ghana Black Stars are set to play the Pharaohs in the first leg playoff match on October 15 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
