FIFPro World XI vote is now launched by the FIFA Ballon d’Or title holder Lionel Messi, It looks like it has become a tradition for Lionel Messi. The Barcelona Star was once again assigned for officially kicking off the voting for the FIFA-FIFPro World XI, the FIFPro will see footballers from across the world choose the 11 players they believe have outclassed the rest in 2013.
Messi Said: “The truth is that I’m happy to go first again,” said the man nicknamed La Pulga (the flea) after casting his vote on Thursday. “I’m proud that it’s my fellow players who get to vote – that’s what makes it very special. A footballer knows the reasons why another footballer is good, and that makes being included in this team a very significant award”.
FIFA and FIFPro (the International Federation of Professional Footballers) have been together running the elections from last 5 years, and like always the announcement of the winners will take place at the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala, which will be held on 13 January 2014 which will be held in Zurich (Switzerland).
The Barcelona Star Lionel Messi have won the FIFA Ballon d’Or for four times, and the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo also have the record for most appearance, both stars have appeared 6 times in FIFAPro World XI, It would not be unreasonable to think that looking at their current form, they will be once again seen among the best Eleven players in the world in the eyes of their peers. FIFPro has already sent out close to 50,000 ballot papers 68 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas for the FIFPro World XI.
Regarding the votes, there is interesting news for the members of The Club on FIFA.com, who will once again have a chance to take part in the FIFA-FIFPro World XI Predictor game, which met with huge enthusiasm last year.
