FIFA World Cup 2014: Cape Verde Island is being sanctioned by FIFA Disciplinary Committee and Tunisia who was defeated 2-0 by Cape Verde Island has qualified for the final round of FIFA World Cup 2014.
By means of a telephonic conference the Disciplinary Committee took a decision today to sanction the Cape Verdean Football Association (FCF) for adding an ineligible player in the match for the FIFA World Cup 2014 between Tunisia and the Cape Verde Island on 7th of September.
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has declared the match to be fortified and they awarded 3-0 in favour of Tunisia, which means that the Cape Verde Island will not be able to progress to round three of FIFA World Cup 2014 African Zone qualifiers having dropped to 2nd place in the Group B with nine points while Tunisia finished 1st with 14 points and they will now advance.
The Draws for the 3rd round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2014 in the African Zone will be conducted on next Monday, 16th September. The five best-placed sides in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, which will be released today following the outcome of this disciplinary case, will be seeded in the draw.
