
As we all know that Ghana is gone one step higher then giants of the world of football Brazil and it was hugely expected that this will be a huge confidence boost for Black Stars in their match against Sudan in 2014 World Cup Qualifiers.
It all happened as it was expected as Ghana Black Stars beat Sudan by 3 Goals to 1 on Friday at Omdurman and moved to the top of group D of the 2014 FIFA World Cup keeping their hopes of a final round spot on course.
Ten-man Ghana team needed Asamoah Gyan’s support and the striking power of Sulley Muntari for the victory as the Left-back Richard Kissi Boateng was given the red card for a tackle which earned the host a penalty, which was transformed by Mudathir Al Tayeb in a frenetic fixture at the Al-Merreikh Stadium.
However, the Black Stars now have a two point lead at the summit of Group D ahead of Zambia, who will play against Lesotho on Saturaday.
The Black Stars will also play against Lesotho in the penultimate fixture of the second round qualifiers in Maseru on June 16.
