First Taken 2 trailer

The first trailer for action sequel ‘Taken 2′ has been released by Fox, and it should please fans of the original.
Liam Neeson is back as Bryan Mills, a man whose secretive CIA past clearly involved a lot of violence. Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen also return as Bryan’s daughter and ex-wife respectively.

Whereas it was Grace who was kidnapped by the bad guys in the first film, this time it’s Janssen. It also looks like the formerly married couple might rekindle their romance in Istanbul, at least until those pesky Eastern European villains step in.
What is interesting about the sequel is that once again it’s a revenge movie, but from the perspective of the villains from ‘Taken’.
The trailer opens with the grieving families of the Albanian sex traffickers Bryan slaughtered in the first film. It’s they who want vengeance, which makes for a neat twist.
The film arrives in the UK on 5 October.
