Ivanka Trump has reached Ethiopia, the first destination of her four-day tour of Africa, to promote the US goal of enhancing women contribution in the workplace. White House global economic program aimed to train 50 million women in developing countries by 2025 to help them avail good employment opportunities.

The US Women’s Global Development and Prosperity initiative was launched in February with $50m (£38m) fund by USAid. The main intention behind the initiative is to further enhance the working women skills so they can get well-paying jobs.
Women participation in industries will bring economic prosperity and also reduce poverty in developing countries. Ms. Trump also expressed excitement ahead of her trip to Africa via Twitter.
Next, she is scheduled to tour a cocoa farm in Ivory Coast and will also attend economic opportunities for women meeting in West Africa. The Trump administration is focusing on the continent to reduce increasing political and economic influence of Russia and China. The United States has supported pro-democratic demonstrations in Algeria and Sudan.
