School of Medical Sciences of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has found in its studies that 74 percent of mothers are not satisfied with the delivery services in the country.
Dr John Amuasi and his research partner Dr. Gracelyn Asare 74 percent facing difficulties while getting toilet facilities and ambulance services.
She said, most of them complain about the toilet facilities being far away from the labor ward they also don’t have the ambulance facilities.
Though satisfaction about the quality services in not enough to perceive the standardization of the health care service.
According to the studies, 223 mothers who delivered within the last five years were interviewed.
According to study finding, women who were delivered through caesarian section were more satisfied than through the vagina. Again, women who stayed longer at the hospital were more satisfied than those who had a shorter stay. She noted, those who were discharged earlier went home with complications than those who stayed a bit longer.
