The Eiffel Tower in Paris is announced to be closed on Saturday due to the rising violent protests of the “yellow vest”.
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced, on Saturday across the country 89,000 police officers will be on duty. Markets, restaurants, shops and museums will also close due to the huge protests.
Mr President said during an interview to the TV channel that 8000 police in on duty in Paris with hundreds of armed vehicles to control the riot. He appealed to the public to be calm and they are not here to protest but to smash and to harm the people around them.
He said, government is implementing the measures to facilitate low paid workers in many ways.
Culture Minister Franck Riester said, Louvre and Orsay museums, Grand Palais complex and opera houses were among sites that would be closed to keep the riot away and for the security reasons.
Adequate security conditions are necessary to be made to stop the violent activities to be happening at the historical places.
According to the Culture Minister Franck Riester, the city authorities decided to close the famous landmarks as last year the famous landmarks, the Arc de Triomphe was get damaged in result of riots.
