The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia said Monday that the gathering has not been served the appeal to requiring a relook of GH¢400,000 filling being charged flagbearer competitors.
“We have heard objections from a portion of the applicants and some other concerned individuals from the gathering. We have likewise found out about a request of that I’m told is coursing,” he revealed to Starr News’ Eric Egbeta.
“We need to demonstrate,” he proceeded with “that at the dimension of the national officials we have not seen that appeal to yet. Thus we can’t act or control our activity dependent on an appeal to that is circling some place in the media.”
Mr Nketia’s remarks return on the of reports that nine of the applicants looking to lead the NDC in the 2020 races kept in touch with the Council of Elders of the gathering to mediate in the strong GH¢400,000 being charged as recording expense by the gathering administrators.
The competitors including Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah and Alban Bagbin say the sum is nonsensical pointing the finger at Mr. Nketia of skewing the challenge for a person in the race.
Mr. Nketia was on record to have pronounced his help for the candidature of previous President John Mahama in the race.
The appeal to the Elders said the sum does not mirror the social law based standards of the gathering and should be investigated.
“We contradict these charges in light of the fact that they call the Party’s basic pledge to social majority rules system into inquiry. Their insignificant distribution hosts brought the Gathering into negative debate. As a social vote based Party NDC should dependably be focused on separating class and social hindrances and building a more comprehensive governmental issues and society”
“Our main goal is to enable those at present underestimated by our elitist social organizations and get them into open life ways that fortify profitability and solidarity, subsequently expanding riches for all.”
