The Second Lady Samira Bawumia has given books to schools in the Wenchi and Techiman Municipalities in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Ten schools profited from her consideration under the protection of her not-revenue driven association – the Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP).
Reporting the bundle to the schools amid the festival of International Literacy Day, Mrs Bawumia was hopeful it will go far to develop a propensity for perusing in understudies.
“As a feature of the exercises to observe International Literacy Day and in recognition of Prof. Kofi Abrefa Busia, I am giving books to 10 schools in the Wenchi and Techiman Municipalities, as a feature of our Library in a Box venture. I trust that developing a propensity for perusing is imperative, and will give a springboard to our understudies to exceed expectations,” the Second Lady expressed.
Mrs Bawumia gave the books amid the Busia 40th Anniversary festivity at Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region on Saturday, eighth September 2018. She exhorted understudies to make perusing a propensity to widen their insight and additionally make them basic scholars.
“I empower every one of us here to give us a chance to hold hands to advance perusing crosswise over various orders,” Mrs. Bawumia pushed.
She included: “As a need, let us draw in understudies in broad perusing and help them wind up self-coordinated perusers.”
