Chelsea have lost their number 1 to the La Liga giants but they might get some comforting by the fact that they have added Mateo Kovacic as part of the deal.
The Croatian midfielder has joined the Blue’s on loan from Real Madrid with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of season.
The 24-year-old joined the Spanish side in 2015 from Inter Milan in deal worth 30 million euros but has failed to establish himself in the starting 11. Kovacic appeared only 17 times last season in La Liga.
He helped Croatia reach the final of the world cup but failed to make into the match day squad of the final.
Kovacic told Chelsea’s club website: “I am really happy and excited to be here at Chelsea. It is an amazing feeling. I will try to do my best for this club.
