Following previous President John Dramani Mahama’s vow at the last Unity stroll in the Volta locale that the following National Democratic Congress (NDC) government will organize advancement in that area, some gathering administrators have apropos answered him.
“Previous President Mahama must recall that we are not distracted that he gave comparative guarantees amid the past battles in 2012 and 2016, which never emerged.”
Knowledge Kukubor, a Communication Officer in the Ketu South Constituency wing of the NDC who was talking at a news meeting in Denu, said the previous President must disclose what prompted their inability to satisfy prior guarantees previously making new ones.
Flanked by different administrators, including Christopher Mensah, a branch Chairman, Mr. Kukubor said the guarantee was only a ploy by the previous President to win the help of Voltarians in front of his affirmation to keep running for the flagbearership once more.
“The general population of this awesome district, who are a pleased spine of the NDC to a great extent boycotted the 2016 race in view of the treacheries endured under the past organization. Among the numerous excruciating recollections, we recall how Mr. Mahama had in 2012 guaranteed to settle our streets and anchored our votes in favor of it, but then did nothing after he moved toward becoming President.
“We recollect how in 2016, when he understood that he could lose the decision, he sent his sibling, Ibrahim Mahama to pile rock on the Toshiba-Dafienu street at the most recent hour to trick us.
“As he would discover later in any case, the general population of the Volta area were not tricked by any means, which is the reason they to a great extent declined to swing up to vote at the surveys,” Mr. Kukubor said.
