Acer, which is a Taiwanese tech company, has presented the world’s thinnest laptop at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 on Friday.
Rather impressively, Swift 7 is 8.98mm (0.35-in) thick and it is fitted out with an Intel Core i7 processor, 256GB of PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) SSD storage, and 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It is supposed to run on Windows 10, possess a 14-inch Full HD IPS display.
In addition, the touchpad is unusual for the reason that it cannot be physically clicked by hand. The two USB Type-C ports that are present are USB 3.1 Gen 1 and they are not Thunderbolt compatible. Acer also stresses its assurance of mobility having an installed LTE modem.
Because of the great slimness, the Acer Switch 7 appears to be some further like a tablet having its aluminium case that gives a very high-quality impression. The similar thing can be said regarding the hinge, that seems to be a little bit delicate though and plus it has an oddly large distance from the display.
