General Secretary of the resistance National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s solution to Ghana’s position on homosexuality has opened the entryways for gay rights activists to foment for the decriminalization of the demonstration.
As indicated by the straightforward NDC fan, the President’s reaction means that he would soon embrace the training.
“I think Nana Addo is ever prepared to authorize homosexuality. Per his reaction, he has really opened entryways for gays to exhibit for the decriminalization of the demonstration. It’s only shocking for an entire President to give such reaction” he said on Accra based Okay fm.
In a current meeting with Al Jazeera, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expressed that despite the fact that authorizing homosexuality isn’t on his administration’s plan, a solid call by individuals from the general public through fomentation can cause the law forbidding it be revised.
Following the president’s remark which has created a great deal of debates, the overall population and some state performers have intensely censured him, saying that his position will urge gay people in Ghana to pick up grounds to challenge.
Mr. Nketia trusts like the late president John Evans Atta Mills, the president must be sure about his position on the grounds that to the extent he is concerned the nation won’t acknowledge homosexuality.
“Late President Mills rushed to give his position and also other previous Presidents so it will be fitting for him (Nana Addo) to likewise turn out clear on the issue” he said.
