Vietnam is bearing the brunt of heavy rains along with its consequences in the form of floods and landslides which have killed 37 people so far.
Tropical depression is sweeping across parts of Vietnam and people are being evacuated to safer destinations.
Over 40 people are missing including a local journalist who fell victim to flash flood which swept the bridge which was ‘anchoring’ him.
The Southeast Asian country is prone to natural calamities in the form of severe rains followed by burst of landslides accompanied by floods.
The tropical depression could gather more force in coming days.
Resultantly rains would be severe aided by thunderstorms which could result in more collateral damage.
Over 16000 homes are submerged beneath the water.
The death toll is highest faced by Vietnam as a result of similar consequences.
