New Patriotic Party’s National Chairman, Freddy Blay
According to Freddie Blay, the acting Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), revealed that about 70 percent of the party elected members who were the party executives now hold metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive positions.
Mr Blay on Saturday, July 15 revealed the information when he was addressing the NPP’s Central Regional Delegates’ Congress at the Foso College of Education.
Mr Blay told that it was for the first time in history in the government of President Nana Akufo-Addo, the planning was that over 70 per cent of executives of the party will be made MMDCEs.
Therefore, he advised the party executives to work faithfully with government to understand the vision of President Akufo-Addo.
He further said the challenges that the government is facing like fixing the economy and achieving development cannot be overcome in few days it demands continuous effort and commitment to be fixed properly.
He also said “We had to work hard to make it possible to turn things around…it is not magic and we need to work hard,”
In addition to that he also appealed for harmony and unity to build a progressive party and state. “There will be progress and prosperity in the [Central Region]”
