With the aim to provide internet access to remote parts of planet, Facebook designed solar-powered drone ‘Aquila’ has successfully completed a second test.

Contrasting to the first flight, the second flight didn’t crashed and flew for one hour and 46 minutes in Arizona. Last summer, the autopilot system was also affected by heavy wind and crashed.
The social media giant has determined to use these drones for communication via lasers while staying in air for months.
Initially, Facebook had indicated its June 2016 test a victory but afterwards confessed that the drone had crashed while landing.
Aeronautical platforms Director, Martin Luis Gomez informed that the drone had suffered a few minor, repairable dings.
Aquila has a wingspan like a Boeing 737 which is a part of Facebook’s ambitious strategies to connect the whole world through internet.
Earlier, Facebook has announced that it has two billion users right now which constitute a quarter of the world’s population.
