Flag bearer of NPP, Nana Akufo Addo
NPP’s flag bearer for 2016 general elections, Nana Akufo Addo has believed that God would give success to the party despite of the fact that party has least number of resources as compare to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He said, however this would be done with less number of resources, because God has power and to whom all success and failure belong. He can make ‘impossible’ possible.
NPP’s leader relates to the Biblical story, and said ‘let me give you reference from the Holy Book, the words of David to Goliath are below
‘You come to me with a sword and a javelin, but I come to you for the sake of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armed forces of Israel (Ghana), whom you have opposed. This day the Lord will convey you into my powerful hand, that all the earth may recognize that there is a God in Israel (Ghana). At that point everybody should realize that the Lord does not spare with sword and lance; for the fight is the Lord’s and He will give you into our hands.’ 1 Samuel 17:45–47
NPP’s Presidential candidate re-echoed at the manifesto launch, took place at International Trade Fair Center, Accra, he said, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, they (NDC) have more money and resources than us but the battle is the Lord’s.’
