Mark Okraku Mantey, Ghanaian ace music producer
Recently, Ghanaian ace music maker, Okraku Mantey has expressed that Ghanaian super model, Hamamat shouldn’t have apologized for her what she wore at the just ended 17th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) which was held at the AICC on the 7th of May, 2016.
Moreover, he said if he was the manager of Hamamat, then she wouldn’t have apologized at all.
Hamamat was criticized badly by Ghanaians for the yellow dress she wore at the 2016 VGMAs as according to them, it was excessively bold and revealing.
So, the former Miss Malaika winner was convinced to apologize for what she portrayed as ‘closet breakdown’. And she said I work hard on my body to look perfect, so I wore that dress, but I didn’t know the outcomes will be that severe. Moreover, she auctions that dress later on.
Contrary to this, while talking to the host of the show, Daybreak Hitz, Okraku Mantey who has administered and produced a few artists said he doesn’t see anything amiss with what Hamamat wore at the VGMA. He opined that it was a part of showbiz and fashion, including that the glamorous lady would not have apologized if he was managing her.
“I don’t know why [people] are too hard on Hamamat…. Every profession and its outfit. There is a degree of madness in fashion. If you don’t understand someone’s career, you will judge them wrongly. I don’t have a problem with Hamamat, maybe because of where I’m coming from… Let’s not be too hard on her… If I were managing Hamamat, we wouldn’t have apologized,” he told the well-known host, KMJ.
This is what she wore, in case you are wondering…
