Our Ghanaian society is now one that anybody can just say anything to attack anyone who steps on their toes.
Presently, there’s a battle of words between radio and TV presenter Afia Schwarzenegger and Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, which has promoted to certain provoking comments being expressed by people.
Some reactions have evolved from this war, which might lead the matter to an extent we all would not want it to go. Lydia Forson has also reacted to this factually. She has not criticized them in person, but hit them on the word choice they both used.
Lydia Forson stated that listening to different audios in spreading, both Afia and Hon. Kennedy have not presented maturity by the language used. “We sound to be okay with language, with insult, to become a nation where it’s fine to descend to the gutters to abuse people to make a point”.
According to the actress, it was not right for both sides to use those insulting words on each other since they’re public figures many people admire. She was bothered about how young ones in the nation are going to pick up from the older generation if they keep with such indecent conduct.
In Lydia Forson viewpoint, most Ghanaians who have authority and power don’t have that courage to address such matters since either one of those involved might be their favorites. She continued by stating Africans are never going to move more as our minds are locked up.
The “Letters From Adam” producer bitterly said, “Ghanaians will suffer as of the hypocrisy in this nation”. Making clear that statement, Lydia stated it wasn’t a damn, but rather a statement she made as the behavior of the people in this nation is not growing. Also, Ghanaians don’t talk about real matters that affect the nation, but support things that hurdle the progress of the nation.
Moreover, Lydia bitterly moaned that people panic to tackle this particular subject as they think either Afia or Hon. Kennedy Agyapong will come after them. She closed by saying Ghanaians must stand up for what’s right and rebuke such actions of people, which when muted on, will cause the nation to doomed after some years.
