Kwame Osei Prempeh, Defeated aspiring Ashanti regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says, I am uncertain about the party’s future in the region.
The party is going backwards, especially in the Ashanti Region, we need an experienced politician to put all efforts through them in the Ashanti Region, if the party wants to win in the 2016 general elections but the representatives have failed to see my vision.
While talking on Accra based radio station, Oman FM, Kwame Osei Prempeh give his statement after being lost to his fiercest rival, Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as “Chairman Wontumi”.
Kwame Osei Prempeh, The former Deputy Attorney General and Member of Parliament for Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo got 209 votes in compared to his opponent Womtumi’s 559 votes.
Kwame Osei Prempeh added, I am the right choice for the job, if NPP really wants to be in power in the 2016 general elections.
He added, I am not disappointed at my defeat, only I feel sad for NPP.
I do not understand why the representatives will reject what he described as a “first class leadership” to someone who will only campaigned in the name of the NPP’s 2012 Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo Addo.
Kwame Osei Prempeh said I will still support the party NPP to ensure their victory in the 2016 general elections.
