Another development since the ongoing Election Petition started.
Member of Parliament for NDC (National Democratic Party) from Juabaso, Kwabena Minta Akandor said that he will leave politics if the NPP (New Patriotic Party) wins the ongoing Presidential Election Petition in Supreme Court.
He said the petitioner’s proof have proven that this case is just a waste of time.
The NDC MP says, “If we lose this case in court I will stop politics. You don’t need to go to Harvard University to know that this court case is a journey to nowhere”.
Kwabena Minta Akandor further said that he will be extremely surprised if the petitioners win the case.
According to him, the petitioners have not yet been able to prove that the supposed indiscretions gravely affected the 2012 Presidential Election results, He further said that any person who understands the Electoral Process of the country will know that the petitioners have no case in the court.
He advised the NPP to end this case and a “hopeless hope” to their supporters and start working for the 2016 General Elections.
The NDC Member of Parliament said: “As per the Constitution of this Republic, his Excellency President John Mahama is the president of this country and so the NPP must stop throwing dust into people’s eyes.”
